I'd rather torture myself than go to the States for a year
Putting pins in your eyes is supposedly very painful (haven't tried this myself, though) and it's not something you would want to do! Kylie is trying to say that she would rather torture herself than go to the States. The pain from putting pins in her own eyes would be less than the pain and aggravation of hearing the Americans mispronouncing her name. Obviously this is meant figuratively!
