The page opposite the title page in a book!

Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Mar 11, 2003:
I found.... facing title-page... any offers?
Angela
Non-ProZ.com Mar 11, 2003:
I'm afraid you've lost me Kimmy. This is a book (an art catalogue to be precise) and as the "frontispizio" is the "title-page" (not the cover) then I presume this to be page that faces it.
Thanks
Angela
Kimmy Mar 11, 2003:
I intended to write Controsommario but my fingers are playing ball!
Kimmy Mar 11, 2003:
controcommario! I have a feeling that the this should be the "controcommario", frontespizio is the cover of the magazine

agree Will Matter : literally "counter-frontispiece" but no EXACT, commonly-used equivalent in English.
