In a document entitled 'nantissement de parts' (see previous question), here's the sentence: "Pour sûreté de toutes sommes pouvant être dues par le constituant à [la banque] au titre d'un engagement de caution..., la Société ... (ci-après le "Constituant")affecte en nantissement au profit de [la banque] 499 parts de la SARL X..."
In the ProZ archives, GDT, Termium etc., I've found 'pledgor,' 'guarantor,' 'mortgagor' and 'chargor,' and I need some input from you fine folks.
