Hello,
According to the text I'm translating, this is a text by Roman philosopher Seneca. I am having a hard time finding an equivalent in English. Any suggestions on a saying by Seneca or an equivalent saying in general. Thanks in advance.

Wealth got by labour is sweet in the enjoyment
This is just a quoted translation of "magna venit nulli sine magno fama labore" -- but the line is from Horace, Saturnalia.

Don't burn what you earn/Don't waste what you make.
Either one should work here.

Hard earned money never disappears
It is the opposite of "easy come, easy go" really, isn't it?
But I think the expression I'm suggesting is an Indian one, and definitely not from Seneca.
But it might point you in the right direction.

easy come, easy go
this is the other aspect of it but is a very common saying -- it means that what you haven't had to earn, you spend freely

: even though this is switching it round, it is extremely idiomatic, and implies the same thing

Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves
British English idiom
i.e. save your hard-earned salary and it will soon add up to make a large amount.
It´s a bit different from the original, but a similar kind of idea.
