I think the problem could be that there's a missing comma: "which involves isolating the article in an enclosed space, a formaldehyde scavenger," etc --
grammatically that would seem to work, though ... I have no idea if a formaldehyde scavenger IS an enclosed space --

Reworded the sentence

I just changed the sentence as I believed there were two sentences and to have it as one was too long and carried two different pieces of information.
