Polish term

NP

Polish to English Medical Medical: Cardiology
RR, RP, NP nd NPare values registered when monitoring a child with a congenital heart defect. I know that RR is arterial pressure and it is obvious that the other terms relate to other pressure measurements, with a systolic and diastolic value being given for each. I assume P in NP refers to right but am stuck after that.

Just a guess. I think NP could be 'noga prawa', i.e. right leg.

Peer comment(s):

neutral OTMed (X) : dosn't make much sense to me. However, on a 2nd thought, I can't think of any better answer. Could they be taking BP on all 4 extremities?

agree Pawel Baka : Definitely! Apparently, measuring BP on all four extremities is a standard of care in neonates and infants (many reasons, one of them being CHD).
