Spanish term

forma con textura

Spanish to English Art/Literary Metallurgy / Casting
Combinación de plata forjada con una forma con textura.
Forjado y labrado.

Another fichas for a small silver sculpture. I'm not sure if "forma con texture" means "textured mold" because I don't see how that fits "combinación" ...

TIA!

Textured mold may work if the ring is molded and then forged. See:http://www.freepatentsonline.com/20030000278.html

John: Thanks for your help here and on the other question. The problem is that for this particular batch of sculptures I don't have photos, but it is definitely not jewelry (a ring). It measures 51 x 27 x 16 cm. And the name is Aztec, so I haven't a clue...

Hi, Spanish doc: I'd like a translation of "forma con textura" (I just don't want a literal translation unless someone can give me some evidence that it is right -- it could be a textured mold but "a combination of forged silver with a texture mold" doesn't make sense to me. Thanks!

Hey Patricia: Do you want the answers in Spanish or English?
it is kind of confusing....may you want the target term in English and explanations in spanish? or the target ter in English and explanations in english? or other combination?

with a textured appearance

I've seen "formas" in the plural translated as "appearances" (but obviously not in this context). You'd keep the idea of "combination" too. I'm not a specialist in silver sculptures!!
Example sentence:

A combination of forged silver with a textured appearance.

a relief figure

Hi, Pat! I think, for what I've seen, that they combined silver with some precious stones, so the "combination" may refer to an inlay of some other material... just drawing conclusions
How do you like: "a combination of forged silver with a relief figure" ?
We're in touch :) Feel free to e-mail me!!!!
Note from asker:
¡Saludos, Claudia! Thanks for your answer. I'll send you an e-mail over the weekend! This is a tiny sculpture, probably no stones, and that's the reason I'm going with Elizabeth's answer, but I appreciate your help!
