不知哪位發明的把excellence翻譯成形容詞“卓越”﹐現在很多網頁都這麼翻譯﹐其實這個詞沒有把原文意思表達出來。既然用卓越﹐ 那麼﹐ 優秀可不可以﹖傑出可不可以﹖一樣的。總之用形容詞翻譯﹐只是表達了中心是如何的好﹐但原文的意思並非這麼簡單。這種中心是一種模範的﹐用于起示範作用的機構。試﹕

: 说实在的，我第一次见到“卓越中心”，也是一头雾水。直叹：新的汉语真是层出不穷啊。但说实在的，想不出比较好的名称来对应这个短语。刚才特意查了英汉大词典第二版，上面的译名更绝，居然是“完善之地”。
