Dear colleagues!
Please advise on the phrase. My own version sounds too wordy and too clumsy:
...there was no help for him to be expected from anywhere.

Could it be "he had nowhere to look to for help", maybe?

if it were 'noone to turn to' - 'to' would have been used, but not for 'nowhere'. thank you
