1st Attempt: What is the reason for the student's progress? Is it that the teacher enjoys his work, or that the students are so very smart?
Problem: If I have translated this sentence correctly, then it is partly based on luck, because I am not satisfied with the Chinese structure of the sentence.
The Chinese pattern that is given is Ａ，是因為Ｂ，還是Ｃ？Would it not be more correct to write something akin to Ａ，是因為Ｂ，還是因為Ｃ？
Can you offer a better way to express the meaning of the author? Or, are you well satisfied with his original rendering of his own thought?
As always comments about other parts of the sentence that I believe to be correct, but are not, are of course welcome.
