Chinese term

才對

Non-PRO Chinese to English Other Education / Pedagogy Grammatical Analysis
Sentence: 這是全體的事,我們每個人都應該關心才對。
1st Attempt: This is a matter for everyone. It is only right that each of us should be concerned.

Problem(s):
1) If I were writing this sentence with the meaning that I have ascribed to it in translation, I would place a comma between the characters 心 and 才. What do you think, or have I misunderstood the phrase 才對?

only right

There's no need for the comma. You have not in the least misunderstood the meaning of 才對.

agree Denyce Seow : The word "should" would fit in this case too.
