This appears in the following sentence within the general context of a large commercial property transaction involving several parties. Unfortunately, I do not have any more specific context.
In Bezug auf dieses Gebäude habe ich erklärt, dass ich kein Interesse an einer Übernahme habe und bereit sei, dieses zum Buchwert der Firma XXX zu überlassen.
Following the imposition of another condition, he then goes on to say:
"... dass ich nicht daran interessiert sei, unter diese Bedingungen zu verkaufen."
I am finding this rather confusing and wonder if anyone could help with the meaning of Übernahme in this context. Am I right in thinking that "überlassen" here means to lease?

Hard to be sure without context, but I think what it means is that he does not wish to occupy the building (? and /or run the business going on there) himself and is therefore prepared to assign it (or make it over - ueberlassen) to company xxx at book value
