Discussion

Stephen Sadie (asker) Sep 1, 2005:
@kenneth: i am honestly not into caressing scissors, sound very peverse to me. however, we all know that there is the special translator's subject called "marketing blurb"...have some good dreams!
Ken Cox Sep 1, 2005:
I'm with Kim for the second line (exactly the same 24K cliches in English as in German), but for the first I can't figure out whether the item invites caressing or is itself caressing. Sounds like something out of the SM scene...(might be good for ideas).
Wolf Brosius (X) Sep 1, 2005:
Yeah!Spring has sprung.
Stephen Sadie (asker) Sep 1, 2005:
@wolf (off topic): getting too hot in south africa?
BrigitteHilgner Sep 1, 2005:
Not "coal", that's too technical; night goes much better with something tender one would like to stroke. (When I read the original, I am actually thinking of a black cat.)
Stephen Sadie (asker) Sep 1, 2005:
@kim: i like that, was considering "coal" instead of "night". what do you and other peers find better?

Tender To The Touch

Are you looking for a headline here? And are we talking about luscious black hair? Hair that has a lot of pulling power, that everyone wants to touch?
or 'Arresting Power'
but maybe I've come onboard too late ...

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "You were there just in time and I selected this proposal. Tender fitted well (think of Elvis' hairstyle), thanks to everybody for the good suggestions "

Might work.
A surface as black as night, soft as silk and hard as granite

strokable strength

It's talking about how you'd like to touch the scissors because they're made of such a fabulous material. Weirdos...
