residence vs domicile
In the old Canada Citizenship Act (before 1977) the word 'domicile' was used, in the new Act it was changed for 'residence'.
The term 'residence' possesses more social context I would say, i.e. in order to be considered Canadian citizen one must have a residence (home) in Canada - to be Canadianize, while having a domicile it's more about a postal address, PO Box with 'Canada' on it. residence vs domicile - 'Home' vs 'house', if i may say so.
Having my exam tomorrow night on this stuff (:-))))
