Arch du lieber

Oh my goodness, Augestine!

The story of Augestine is a hoot. After falling into a mass grave for "Die Pest" victims, he climbed out of the grave much to the amazement of the citizens of his town. That's why they said
Oh my goodness, Augestine!

Hope this helps.

Oh, my dear!

I assume this should be'Ach', not "Arch"? More context would make it easier to suggest different translations(if only, alas etc)

Goodness gracious!

This is what is called a Mark Twain cuss-word. His wife objected to his language, so he came up with mild forms like darn. This is in lieu of stronger words. Of course, it is ach. People say it all the time, often in consternation or amusement.
