Spanish term
peine

Tech/Engineering
Architecture
It's part of the structure of an auditorium/hall, and it apparently requires special consideration in relation to city planning regulations on the height of buildings:
2. Section 1, Normas Generales:

Comment: "Thanks. I tracked down this term too. My doubt was whether "peine" could be referring to something else altogether since it appears to relate to the external height of the building, but I suppose this makes sense."

comb
The inconsistency of that abrupt density of images in the interior of the institution augured such an event. Lavishly draped over various floors, the softness of the gold, velvet and embroidery fell victims to spectacular twists and folds. The slopes rose up in a shot, with a plethora of images and saturated with appearances; above the stage; **a comb** harboured a second floor of stage curtains with accretions that were added to the repertoire with each new performance. So it was not surprising that all of this yielded to another figurative field, to a new resting place.

This was discussed in a previous Kudoz question, here:

Fly system was the glossary entry, but there were several suggestions and quite a few references, so you might want to have a look and see what you think.
