Glossary entry (derived from question below)
German term or phrase:
großer erweiternder Gewährleistungsbescheid
English translation:
Extended remuneration guarantee notice
German term
großer erweiternder Gewährleistungsbescheid
I'm translating a guideline for visiting professors and this section deals with salary, insurance etc. The term in question seems to be a very specific type of leave of absence but I'm struggling to find an equivalent (or explain it adequately) in British English.

Extended remuneration guarantee notice
Thanks Oliver, that fits the bill very nicely! |
/notice of / major extended coverage endorsement
Having 'endorsed life policies' myself albeit oevr to banks for loans, I stand corrected by insurance translators, but don't think 'notice of' is actually required.
An extended coverage endorsement is a non-mandatory add-on to a standard fire insurance policy.
An insurance endorsement is an amendment or addition to an existing insurance contract that changes the terms or scope of the original policy. ·

Thanks Adrian! To be fair, I had already looked at the existing glossary entries but was still struggling a bit with the term in this context. |

just read the entry more closely. seems to be about getting a guarantee that the professor will return even after a long time off.
Commitment to return following long leave.
