: I dare say, there's (usually) a certain amount of dismay (and surprise?) in "Sachen gibt's, die gibt's gar nicht!" - whereas "stuff (shit) happens" denotes a rather fatalistic go-with-the-flow attitude. But what the hell... ;-)
