Mir liegen verschiedene Strings zur Übersetzung vor. Da mir jeglicher Kontext fehlt, kann ich mit dieser Formulierung nicht viel anfangen, zumal der Begriff "anliegen":
Störung Typ 1 liegt an!
Störung Typ 2 liegt an!
Für nachfolgendes Beispiel bin ich im Archiv fündig geworden und bin versucht, "to be in contact" zu verwenden:
**Liegt** der erforderliche Pegel **an**, wird eine Meldung angezeigt und der Prüfstart deaktiviert.

Malfunction
To me, this looks like a warning flag or button, and all you actually need if this is the case is "Type 1/Type 2 malfunction". It would be obvious if the machine were not working that there was some sort of fault present, wouldn't it...
