German term
mit effizienter Größenordnung
German to English
Bus/Financial
Business/Commerce (general)
I just can't find an English translation for this that sounds right.
Not much context, the text is about telecom operators.
The term appears in a heading and in a sentence:
'Betreiber mit effizienter Größenordnung'
'Das XXXmodell muss die Modellierung des Netzes eines Betreibers mit effizienter Größenordnung ermöglichen.'
I don't like 'size', so I was thinking maybe 'scale', but I'm really not sure here.
Any help appreciated!

Proposed translations
(English)
4 +1 | (operator) with efficient capacity | Reinhold Wehrmann |
4 | with efficient dimensions | Peter Manda (X) |
3 | with a sufficiently large footprint | gangels (X) |
3 | efficient magnitude | Nicole Backhaus |
3 | scalable / match the size | J Fox |
3 -1 | with a high level/degree of efficiency | casper (X) |
Proposed translations
+1

(operator) with efficient capacity
You could also use "capability".
Note from asker:
Thanks Reinhold. I had considered that, but size isn't always equivalent to capability, or is it in this case? |
1 hr
with a sufficiently large footprint
I know, may sound strange to deutsche Ohren, but perfectly acceptable and common IT jingo
10 hrs
with efficient dimensions
literally "with an efficient order of magnitude" but "dimensions" is broader and actually more precise in the context.
21 hrs
efficient magnitude
als Vorschlag
-1
22 hrs
with a high level/degree of efficiency
Betreiber mit effizienter Größenordnung: operators with a high level/degree of efficiency

: das wäre aber ein Betreiber mit großer Effizienz, wobei die "Größenordnung" nicht berücksichtigt wird

I'll be grateful to you if you, as a German native speaker, would please explain to me how 'Größenordnung' (=magnitude/degree/level) can be 'effizient (=efficient). TIA. Btw, I don't agree with you that 'Größenordnung' = capacity.

scalable / match the size
I think the German could be a bit more precise, but to me the meaning would be that the XXXmodell must allow for the modelling of the operator's network to be scalable, so that it matches / is appropriate for the size of the network.
See Wiki:
In telecommunications and software engineering, scalability is a desirable property of a system, a network, or a process, which indicates its ability to either handle growing amounts of work in a graceful manner or to be readily enlarged.[1] For example, it can refer to the capability of a system to increase total throughput under an increased load when resources (typically hardware) are added. An analogous meaning is implied when the word is used in a commercial context, where scalability of a company implies that the underlying business model offers the potential for economic growth within the company.

Hope this makes sense.
