La notion d’exclusivité est aussi primordiale. Notre volonté est de faire du *** ********* une déclinaison Web convoitée.

If you do post, I will agree. Have a great day!
Emma Paulay Oct 19, 2009:
Thanks for your comments I might post an answer, but I'd prefer to have an answer to my question before I do so - otherwise it's just a shot in the dark which will be of no use to the asker or to anyone else who uses the glossary at a later date.
MatthewLaSon Oct 19, 2009:
Emma is right, imho Emma, I was just going to post "version" as a translation. I believe that is what it means. What don't you post an answer properly? I don't dare...
John Detre Oct 19, 2009:
Agree with Emma Doesn't "déclinaison Web" mean repurposing for the Web?
Emma Paulay Oct 19, 2009:
What is xxxxxx? Is it a product sold on the net? A service provided via internet? To me, "déclinaison web" is a web version of something i.e. an advert can be "décliné en versions magazine, affiche et web". NB I'm not asking for confidential info - just a description.

internet hot item / phenomenon

I had thought of "craze"; but this seems the opposite of "exclusive".

sorry to keep posting. I've just thought of a couple of other versions, slightly different in nuance:

"the go-to site for..", or "the must-visit site for.."

Peer comment(s):

agree philgoddard : This is good, though strictly speaking it's a translation of "déclinaison web convoitée" rather than "déclinaison web". I think déclinaison just means website, in other words the online version of the business.

Thanks Phil - you're right, the convoitée comes for free ;-)

(winning) web formula

déclinaison -> how it's structured/put together -> form -> formula

That is if it IS a formula - it may be just a single website in which case I'm not so sure this works so well.

Best E-Commerce Site:

Winner - Sainsbury's for www.sainsburyscontactlenses.co.uk

Sainsbury's contact lenses websiteThe big high street players are branching out into all kinds of online products and Sainsbury's has continued its winning web formula across its micro sites. The contact lenses site in particular works very well with the search engines and distils the purchasing process down to an incredibly simple level.
