The sentence is:" He is tall and handsome in a devil-may-care way." I'd like to know what is "devil-may-care way"?

In general, it means that he's carefree and easygoing.
And, in that context, it means that he's simply handsome but not "metrosexual" ;), that is, he doesn't worry much about his appearance but he's cute anyway.

I think that the most appropiate here is to focus on his appearance, not on his personality.
