Algo más de contexto vendría bien. Parece que es una recomendación de la persona que habla a otra u otras para que cuenten un hecho tomando ciertas precauciones de confidencialidad. Al parecer a ciertas personas les cae bien o les inspira simpatía algo. Es todo lo que se me ocurre.

"Whisper it" is a very common expression. Obviously it means "say it, but quietly, not out loud". I think it is mainly used in two contexts: (1) to imply that what follows is true, but is not generally acknowledged or is unpalatable to some people, so say it discreetly (like Galileo whispering "Eppur si muove); or (2), that it looks as though something unexpected (probably welcome) is going to happen, but it may not happen and you don't want to spoil the chances of it happening by saying it out loud (either because you'll provoke opposition, or because you'd be tempting fate).
It looks to me as though the first sense is involved here: the speaker is saying that people are not supposed or thought to like its awkward bulk, but actually they do.
It is a set phrase, a cliche, and the translation needs to be idiomatic. I don't think you can do it literally.

The above explanations are just a way of expressing possible subtexts of "whisper it", as I see them; I don't mean that people who use the expression are actually saying all that. In practice it's just a rhetorical device to emphasise the alleged truth of what one's saying, by implying that it is goes against received wisdom, almost that's it's some kind of secret.
The lawyer Louis Nizer is supposed to have said: "Some people will believe anything if you whisper it to them."
