English term

provide 1/4"x1" wide fasteners with 1/4"x2" LG

English to French Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering

The importance of context... Right... now it makes sense! See how vital context is, without which we're all floundering around in the dark?

I feel sure you're right, it is the anchors that are ¼" (presumably dia.) and 2" long. Confusing, since the fastener seems on the face of it to be ¼" thick and 1" wide :-{

Note also that your misquoting of the s/t didn't exactly help: "provide" instead of "install", and the incorrect plural on "fasteners" — seemingly minor details like this can make all the difference.

Le texte complet serait donc "INSTALL A CONTINUOUS FASTENER BAR ¼”x1” WIDE FASTENER TO WALL WITH ¼”x2” LG. COUNTER SUNK ANCHORS AT 18”c.c.".

It's a little hard to tell without more context, but it seems as if these might be ¼" thick (or perhaps, diameter?), with the fasteners being 1" wide, and the LGs being 2" wide.

Quite what kind of 'fasteners' these might be, and what an 'LG' is, I couldn't say!
