Danish term
abbreviation a.i.
Danish to English
Medical
Medical: Instruments
prostate needle core biopsy, macroscopy
Not a lot of context, I am afraid.
The text is the results of biopsies from the prostate.
A number of needle core biopsies were taken, and most were described like this:
PIN = prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia
In the next section, under Makroskopi, the numbers vary, but the results are:
[01] 13 mm, a.i.
[02] 5 mm a.i.
...
...
[09] 12 mm a.i.
[10] 9 mm a.i. hh/cm
Thanks for any suggestions!

Note from asker:
Thanks! It was interesting, but I am not entirely sure it fits in my context. As the abbreviation would be the same, I left it as it was. The text uses a mixture of Danish and English abbreviations, so it could be either. Jantzen and other sources did not find anything in Danish. But thank you again. |
Discussion
I will happily un-close the question and award points if anyone has a convincing answer.
