I have the Duden Korrektor installed on my word program but it does not work when I use Excel. Does anyone know how to run a spell check on an Excel program?
Thanks!

Is there no other option?
May 16, 2003
Thanks, Uldis, but I do not have German as a language option on my PC, that is why I installed the Duden Korrektor.
I guess there is no other way to check spelling using Excel, is there?
I can only think of a very complicated way: copy and paste everything from Excel into Word and have it checked there.

No help from the Duden help menu

Thank you for hanging in there with me, Uldis
I have checked out the Duden help menu, but got no help here.
You suggested running the Excel program in Word itself. How would I do that?

Excel in Word

In Word, choose File, Open, then tick Files of all Type at the bottom, and open the file with .xls extension you want to view.
The feature that makes it possible to view Excel files in Word environment may be already installed on your computer. If this is not the case, a dialog box will prompt you to insert your Word installation CD into CD-ROM for automatic installation.
