Hi, Philippe Jul 19

The Lisbon airport website published this alert: “An international information system failure is affecting some airline services at check-in and boarding. Please check the status of your flight before travelling to the airport. Thank you for your understanding.”

My bank has a similar alert: “Some of our services have been affected by a worldwide computer problem. Your data is safe. We are restoring the affected services. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”

I do hope that everything will go back to normal as soon as possible!

Thanks for the heads up Jul 19

I woke up, had my breakfast at 9:30 a.m. (US East Coast time) and read about the outage in the news. Security firm Crowdstrike reported the problem as originating in a bad Windows update.

I haven't experienced any outages (crossing fingers).

Until now I hadn't noticed anything special, but I've just received an email from a client in the United States 22 hours late! It must have gone round the world…
