I re-installed Xbench 2.9 because I wanted to test some conversion (from TMX to tab-delimited). I had a look at the QA checks of 3.0:

QA Features

✔ Execute user-defined checklists. Checklists are user-defined searches that you can run in batch against your ongoing translation. For example, with checklists you can search for banned words or typical translator pitfalls.
✓ Find alphanumeric mismatches
✔ Find CamelCase words in the source text without a match in the target text and CamelCase words in the target text without a match in the source text
✔ Find double blanks
✔ Find number mismatches
✔ Find repeated words
✔ Find segments whose target text matches the source text (potentially untranslated text)
✔ Find segments with the same source text and different target text
✔ Find segments with the same target text and different source text
✔ Find tag mismatches
✔ Find terminology mismatches against a list of key terms
✔ Find unpaired symbols (i.e. unpaired parentheses, square brackets, or braces)
✔ Find untranslated segments
✔ Find UPPERCASE words in the source text without a match in the target text and UPPERCASE words in the target text without a match in the source text
✔ Spell-check translations (requires downloading the language dictionary with Tools->Spell-Checking Dictionaries)
❌ Find unpaired quotes
❌ Find URL mismatches

All checked checks are covered in CafeTran Espresso. For alphanumeric mismatches, you'll have to define non-translatables. Same for URL mismatches. For unpaired quotes you have to use a regular expression like:

Will try to create an expression.

Adapt it to the quotes that you use in your target language.

I'll post a request for feature for this check.

I found this expression:

However, it doesn't match: This is an example” of a “missing quotation mark”.

Does CafeTran also produce a report, like Xbench does?

No, it doesn't.

But it is a nice idea.
