When did you start using CafeTran (Espresso)? Thread poster: Hans Lenting

For me, this must have been in the second half of 2010. When did you start learning CafeTran or CafeTran Espresso? | | | Tom in London United Kingdom Local time: 07:19 Member (2008) Italian to English

My learning experience was all done by trial and error because there is no comprehensible, comprehensive manual - all I found were a few YouTube videos spoken by someone whose foreign (German?) accent was so thick that they were impossible to watch. So I just jumped in and, mercifully, CafeTran is quite Mac-like (i.e. intuitive) so I was quickly able to integrate it into my workflow. But I'm still finding out things about it. I think it's great.

Actually I'm Dutch, but thank you. I discussed your previous comment on this yesterday with 2 Proz staff members. One native speaker, who lives in London, assured me that my Anglais was perfectly acceptable. Others, via PM, assured me that you are from Ireland and have quite an accent yourself. So ... can we put this to rest now? | | | Tom in London United Kingdom Local time: 07:19 Member (2008) Italian to English

So I'm glad we've put that to rest. More to the point: why are you asking CT users to say when they started using it? Is this a survey?
