International Institute of Buffalo is a 501 C-3 non-profit organization based in Buffalo, NY who's primary goal is to serve the immigrant and refugee populations of Western New York, although we serve native-born, naturalized, and undocumented individuals as well through our various program offerings. Our programs cover areas such as housing, resettlement, employment, job training, English classes, community education, survivor support services, and offering interpreting & translation services to WNY and beyond.
Our Interpreting & Translation Department serves as a method to provide unrestricted funding to the Institute as well as to provide opportunities to linguists in WNY and beyond for monetary gain.
The International Institute provides reliable, quality foreign language interpretation & translation in more than 100 languages and by multiple delivery methods: in person, video, or telephone. Interpretation services may be requested for any time, 24 hours per day, seven days a week, independent of the Institute’s business hours.
Document translation, audio transcription, video voiceover, and localization of written content is available in more than 60 languages from qualified and certified translators.
The Institute has cultivated its language expertise over 30 years, and is the largest local provider of language services in Western New York. Our non-profit social enterprise utilizes professional linguists residing locally in the Buffalo/Niagara region, and serves customers nationwide.
Sectors served by the Institute include health care, criminal justice/courts, education, nonprofits and a wide variety of industry. We also train customers on how to work effectively with interpreters.
