- - Los relieves se clasifican por su resalto y también por la ordenación de los planos. El altorrelieve viene a ser una escultura de bulto completo que toca el plano de sustentación [FIGURA 1]. Otras veces se presenta como una figura cortada por la mitad; finalmente, el bajorrelieve tiene un grosor inferior a la media figura. El altorrelieve se usa en las partes elevadas de los edificios y el bajorrelieve en las inferiores.
