Current openings:

We are currently hiring Subject expertise Translation Checkers in the field of Medicine & Engineering.

Requirements:

•Should be a native speaker of either Japanese or English language with proven Japanese skills

•3 years of relevant translation experience from Japanese English translation in the field of Medicine or Engineering.

• Fully bilingual or bicultural applicants will be preferred

• Well-read, knowledgeable and academically oriented

• Technically proficient (should be able to do effective online research, especially for terminology). Should be familiar with commonly used translation and terminology databases

• We deal primarily with academic as well as business/general translations from Japanese to English, and seek skilled Translation Checkers (which is also known as Translation Proofreading or Translation QA).

• You are required to have high-speed internet connectivity and be fully available via phone and e-mail during working hours.

Responsibilities:

• Translation-checking from Japanese to English translation.
• Evaluation of new translators and periodic assessment of existing translators (Quality Management)
• Giving appropriate feedback to translators to promote learning and improve performance
• Preparation of guidelines for translators
