Experienced translator, proofreader, linguist and language lead from English and Italian into Spanish and Catalan. Fields of expertise: tourism, legal, education, journalism, UI, IT, Internet, e-commerce, multimedia, online advertising, marketing, web site and software localization.

-Engaged by VistaTEC to work on-site for 20 hours per week at a client office based in Madrid. This client is a vibrant multinational company operating at the cutting edge of Internet-based IT services.
-Responsibility for the language quality of the Catalan site. Job responsibilities include reviewing, proofing, and editing translations of new features, promotions, graphics, user interface elements, and other site content; developing and maintaining terminology glossary and language style guide; working with developers, engineers, and project management to ship the client’s international sites on time and with high linguistic quality; working with QA to ensure localization issues are addressed before shipping live to site; working with Product Marketing and Content Managers to establish and protect the tone and style of the translations; working with other reviewers, in-country Marketing, Content specialists and Project management to coordinate review and quality assurance efforts; contributing to the definition and establishment of the localization process.
