Bio
I am a dedicated interpreter and translator, fluent in Somali and English, with extensive experience in medical, social services, and refugee verification settings. Currently pursuing further education at Mount Kenya University, i have  developed a robust skill set, including linguistic proficiency, cultural competence, and subject-matter expertise across various domains. My career began with a proficiency certificate from the Computer Society of Kenya and has since been marked by hands-on roles at United Language Group and Hope Language Services, where he provided critical interpretation and mediation services, ensuring clear communication and cultural understanding.
Throughout my career, i have excelled in roles demanding high accuracy and empathy, from medical interpretation during critical appointments to facilitating communication in social service contexts. My work with UNHCR as a Verification Support Assistant further underscores his commitment to assisting refugees, where i meticulously handled identity verification, document translation, and cultural mediation. My ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and my skill in bridging cultural gaps have significantly enhanced the support provided to vulnerable populations, making him a pivotal figure in humanitarian and healthcare settings.
I am also  known for my strong communication skills, both in team settings and independently, and my proactive approach to acquiring new skills and knowledge.
