I have a PhD in linguistic and cultural anthropology from the University of Arizona, USA. I conducted my dissertation research in Martinique, where I lived for nearly three years. While there I translated from French to American English for the Chamber of Commerce, as well as for publishing companies, advertisers, and magazines. Since then I have translated in the field of public health, where I have worked for 10 years, primarily in Africa. I also specialize in academic translations in the social sciences, including anthropology, sociology, political science, and linguistics. I am an excellent writer in English and am stylistically versatile.
