The job of a translator is full of nuance and subtlety. There is no mathematical formula for success and no “right answer” in any given translation, so the art of conveying meaning is down to a meticulous attention to detail and a constant search for content and tone. Thus, my job is to correspond to all clients’ requests. I try to stay current with latest English and Russian-language idioms and cultural references to allow for hyper-realistic translations for modern publications. Experience-wise, I have performed various translation and interpretation duties from Russian into English and from English into Russian, including written texts, localization, internationalization, audio files, and live speaking presentations. I had an experience of copywriting and copyediting English and Russian texts, where my creative writing skills were implied. My proficiency level is C1 in English and I am a native Russian speaker. Now I am studying linguistic in the university. Thus, I am ready to become a teacher for beginners and intermediate and upper-intermediate English learners, as well as for all-leveled students, trying to enhance their skills in Russian. Time-management and multitasking are my strong points. I do not allow indolence and procrastination to disturb me and reduce my work efficiency. I have a dispassionate ability to communicate the meaning of the original text without adding their own level of meaning, as my job is to translate the words as they are written rather than create a new meaning in the target language. My acquaintances are sure that I have a gift for the written word and a creative mindset. It can be proven by the fact that I had some practice in journalism and have always been involved in writing prose and poetry. As language learning is my passion I would be amazingly proud to work with you to help by all means. |
