Some words about me: I am sorry to give you a general background. This is because I have not yet written a resume that deals with my experiences as a translator. Until this point, I have primarily worked as a teacher. However, I want to focus more on translating and less on teaching in the future. That is not to say that I am lacking in translation experience. For instance, I have translated everything from Swedish helicopter manuals to Canadian official documents. For a short period, I also wrote subtitles for various American television series. I may not hold an official translation certificate, but I daresay that I am fairly skilled in this trade. I can easily move between the two languages, and I master many elements of different writing styles. Perhaps needless to say, I really enjoy the art of communication. I can passionately spend hours making texts more reader friendly. The fact that I have written two editions of an English text book hopefully also proves what a language enthusiast I am and how much I like editing work. Regarding this position, I can also add that I once studied law at Uppsala University. I feel quite confident that I can do well in this area. For now, I will leave you my on-line CV. It will give you a sense of who I am and what I have achieved. https://mickebrodin.weebly.com/ Sincerely, Micke Brodin |
