I have an International Affairs degree with a minor in German language/linguistics from Florida State University and a Master's in Peace Education from the University for Peace, Costa Rica. I have experience teaching German to
refugees and tutoring American high school students in German. I am mostly
self-taught, and I became fluent after living and working in a small German
town for over a year without anyone to speak English with. I worked for a theatre company in Germany, translating songs and scripts to English with respect for the integrity of the original creative work, incorporating rhymes and jokes into the translations. I have extensive experience editing academic and research papers for international students.
