Bio
After attaining a 3-year bachelor's degree in 2005 from the nationally well-known English Department of State University of Malang, I taught English for a private school, which enriched my experience of tutoring students with various backgrounds, from elementary-school pupils to professionals seeking for opportunities to work and study abroad. My translating experience also started as people frequently asked me to translate texts from them, mostly manuals and English articles. In 2009, an investor offered a building to be used for business in return of shared profit. I decided to use it for operating my own English school. Requiring resources for administration and teaching, I recruited two English department fresh graduates who are certified for teaching to help me while I did the marketing work. To cover expenses before the school fully profitable, I partnered with copy centers located around campuses in my city to take translation jobs. With the two employees also did the translation work, which came from university students from various universities and departments, we were self-sufficient. I become regular teacher and translator at the same time. Unfortunately, in 2014 the investor did not extend his commitment, leaving us with no place to do the operation. I had to close the business. Not long after, a colleague offered a position of English teacher and translator in a language center of another reputable university. Since then, I have been able to gain proficiency and reputation as a translator. Now I work more on academic texts of various topics, both social and natural science.
