I am a professional English to Spanish translator specializing in website, software and video game localization.
I was born and raised in Argentina, where I completed my translation studies, and I am currently based in Spain (Catalonia). Such experience has given me the capacity to understand both Latin American and European cultures, and to dominate their language varieties.
I have a bachelor's degree in English <> Spanish translation. My academic training was mostly aimed at legal and financial texts. However, since I am also an experienced web developer as well as a software and video game development enthusiast, I decided to specialize in localization.
In 2008, I co-founded Pisaq, a small but highly skilled team of advertising, web, graphic design and language professionals. Ever since, I have been working both as translator and as web developer for a wide variety of companies and in many different areas, such as e-commerce, hardware and software, education, tourism, gastronomy, construction, transportation, etc.
In addition to translation, localization, edition and proofreading experience; being a web developer and working side by side with advertising executives has provided me with copywriting and transcreation skills.
As head of the language department in an advertising and translation services provider, I have always been in charge of creating, editing, translating and adapting every piece of text; from product descriptions in e-commerce sites and web ads to brochures, slogans and even brand names.
As a freelance translator, I have been mostly devoted to the fields of IT, mobile apps, software and hardware. Since 2015, I have been translating, localizing and proofreading thousands and thousands of words for some of the major IT related companies in the world.
