Sistemas intensivos de cultivo sem renovação de água predominam as bactérias aeróbicas heterotróficas. Víbrios estão fisiologicamente presentes no trato digestivo dos camarões, entretanto, podem causar enfermidades com elevados índices de mortalidade (Mendes et al, 2005). Enfermidades causadas por Vibrio spp ocorrem quando os animais cultivados estão estressados por densidades de estocagem elevadas, baixos níveis de oxigênio, concentrações elevadas de amônia e sulfito ou por uma alimentação insatisfatória (Moriarty, 1997). Esse trabalho investigou a microbiota do ambiente de cultivo através do monitorando das bactérias heterotróficas totais e víbrios em berçários de L. vannamei.cultivado em sistemas sem renovação de água com e sem aplicação de melaço.

In intensive culture system without water-renewal the heterotrophic aerobic bacteria predominate. Although vibrios are fisiologically present in the digestive tract of shrimp, they may cause diseases with high mortality rates (Mendes et al. 2005). Diseases caused by Vibrio spp occur when animals are stressed grown by high stocking densities, low oxygen levels, high concentrations of ammonia and sulfite or by a poor diet. (Moriarty, 1997). This study investigated the microbiota of the culture environment by monitoring total heterotrophic bacteria and vibrios in L. vannamei nurseries, grown in systems without water renewal, with and without molasses application.
