Bio

An avid language lover since a child, I have been working professionally as a conference interpreter since 2013 and as a translator since 2011. Having lived in the US, China, India, Spain and Chile, I bring my cross-cultural insights and empathy into my work with languages. Currently based out of NYC, I have provided simultaneous interpretation for UN agencies, the Inter-American Development Bank, Georgetown University, General Electric, among others; consecutive interpretation for the President of Chile and China's State Council delegation; as well as translation services for law firms, universities, Fortune 500 companies and non-profit organizations. As a former banker and economist, I bring my language skills and technical expertise to craft accurate and natural renderings of the original message.

I have a Master's degree in Conference Interpretation (English/Chinese/Spanish) from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS) and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Spanish from Mount Holyoke College. I am a native speaker of Chinese (Mandarin/Simplified) but graduated from MIIS as "English native or equivalent," hence the order of languages in my degree.

Service provided:

Simultaneous, consecutive and whispering interpretation (Mandarin Chinese < > English; Mandarin Chinese < > Spanish).

Translation and transcription (Simplified Chinese < > English, Spanish > Simplified Chinese, and Spanish > English).
