Курс, предоставляемый учебным заведением другой организации "on a complimentary basis at no cost".
В другом месте встречается выражение "Complimentary Training" и "Complimentary course". Другого контекста практически нет.

Выражение "on a complimentary basis" заставляет меня думать, что это "бесплатный курс", а не "дополнительный", но хочу посоветоваться с другими переводчиками, чтобы удостовериться.
Встречала выражение "подарочный курс" - немного режет ухо.

Хелп, плиз! :)

I presume "complimentary" is not always free. It can be something at a discounted price as a way of saying thank-you to a customer for buying a product or subscribing to something.

an unfortunate turn of phrase. Since "complimentary" may mean both "free" and "additional", they added "at no cost". Hence, "complimetary" here means "additional". In English, though, the phrase tends to read like a tautology: a free free course. But Alexej's Russian version reads alright. And they say translation can't be better than the original!

бесплатный дополнительный курс

Если покупаешь у организации какой-нибудь курс, то другой (дополнительный) она может тебе предоставить бесплатно. Т.е. организация предоставляет этот курс лишь при условии, что у нее покупаешь другой курс.
Иными словами, можно сказать, что это бонус-курс. Но так не скажешь, т.к. режет ухо. Так что, на мой взгляд, лучше сказать "бесплатный дополнительный курс".

In a pub, a man feeds his coins into the cigarette machine, but instead of producing a pack of 16, the machine says to him: "Sod off, ashtray, you stink of fags and you shouldn't smoke anyway because you're too fat."
Astonished, the man returns to his seat at the bar and signals to the landlord. As the landlord approaches, the man takes a couple of nuts from a bowl on the bar, only to hear from the bowl: "Great shirt, mate. And I see you've got that new mobile everyone's on about – cool!"
Now freaked, the man says to the landlord: "I'm not being funny, but I've just been insulted by the fag machine and now this bowl of nuts is saying nice things to me."
