In mobile applications, the second conductor that closes a circuit and returns the current back to the battery is usually replaced by a mass connection. This can be the bodywork, the machine’s chassis or its motor. Bad bonding means that the circuit remains open! The use of a main ground switch situated between the batteries negative pole and the batteries ground connection is not to be advised.

: sim, desculpe, foi um enter na altura errada... tem a ver com o facto de ser um interruptor com ligação de terra, como nas tomadas de electricidade, temos o fio de corrente e o fio de terra... em PT-PT tenho a certeza que essa designação não é utilizada.

Chave/disjuntor, são sinônimos, logo é possível qualquer uma. "Ground" pode ser "terra" ou "aterramento" , logo não vejo erro, de ordem técnica na minha resposta
