temo che oleodynamic con o senza s finale sia un calco dall'italiano, non ancora ufficialmente o ufficiosamente entrato nella lingua inglese, lo dimostra la rarità della parola in Internet rispetto alla parola italiana e l'inesistenza della parola oleodynamic in nessun dizionario tecnico o meno che io conosca. Es. vedi il sito ";www.onelook.com" dove è possibile cercare simultaneamente in molti dizionari (Webster, Cambrindge, ecc.), la parola oleodynamic non appare

nota sul commento di Sergio. I fluidi sono sia i liquidi che i gas, perciò il campo della scienza \"hydraulics\" è vastissimo, il campo della oleodinamica invece è più ristretto - i tecnici americani con cui parlavo (per una ditta curavo i contatti con il loro principale cliente americano) usavano la parola hydraulics e l\'aggettivo hydraulic, come ha suggerito Paola. Perciò penso che se è necessario distingere oleodinamica da idraulica sia bene premettere \"oil\", nel caso invece che sia chiaro il contesto si può usare solo hydraulics - oil hydraulics in ogni caso è proprio una disciplina, come puoi notare digitando la parola in google e vedendo i tipi di link trovati e soprattutto l\'origine dei siti (molti madrelingua inglesi)
