What translation project are you working on right now?

An old client recently came to me with some new fictional stories to be translated (Pt>En). I like working for them as the stories are interesting, and they even want me to improve the stories where I see fit. An interesting collaboration.

I am finishing a large translation project for a university department here (Urban Planning) and just found out that another department (International Economics) wants me to work with them. Very happy.

I have had many more small translations of documents like school transcripts, marriage certificates, etc. I rarely received those last year. It's interesting how things change.

I just received a large project from a federal university here - translating their website and numerous documents into English. This will keep me busy for a long while!

I keep forgetting to update my WIWO! Recently I've done Quality Assurance of videos translations, continue translating uplifting, fictional stories (one of my favorite jobs), and translated a number of birth certificates and travel documents.

I just finished a project that turned out to be more difficult than I predicted. It was only two short videos that, I thought, would be fairly quick to translate and subtitle. But the speaker in the first video spoke rapidly and mumbled a lot, so I had to slow the video down and listen numerous times. Then the second video was full of medical jargon and medications that required a lot of research to find spellings, etc. The life of a translator... :)

I am providing QC in an interesting project. It is with a team of translators, and we offer quick translation of videos - translating any video up to 120 minutes long within six hours. I had never worked in a team like this before. Very interesting.

I have started an exciting project translating and revising stories that are then put in a video. It's a mix of translating, revising, and transcreation.
