Description:

During this one-hour presentation, you will learn how to "master the basics“ of memoQ: you will be able to create projects, manage your translation memories and term bases, understand the translation results offered by memoQ, and work with documents received from other translation tools.

This training will be a good place to start in order to understand the logic behind memoQ and prepare for the more advanced topics offered during the Virtual memoQ Day.

Speakers:Angelika Zerfaß
Angelika Zerfass, a translator for Chinese/Japanese/German by training worked as a training and support specialist for Trados from 1997 to 2000. During that time, she was responsible for training, presentation and technical support for Trados tools used at Microsoft Japan and later in the US. Since 2000 she is a freelance trainer and consultant for translation tools, based in Bonn, Germany. She speaks frequently at conferences like Localization World and tekom as well as workshops like the Localization and Project Management Certification Workshops.
Denis Hay
Denis Hay has been a freelancer translator and editor for more than 15 years. His extensive experience of CAT tools and localization lead him to progressively focus his career to consulting on workflows and CAT tools. He joined Kilgray Translation Technologies as a pre-sales technical consultant and trainer, where he guides people in their first steps with memoQ server.
Florian Sachse
Florian Sachse has been developing software for more than 30 years, more than 15 years for language technology related projects. As the owner of PASS Engineering GmbH he led a team which created PASSOLO, a leading software localization solution. In 2007 he successfully sold his company to SDL and worked for five more years as the managing director for SDL Passolo. Since beginning of 2013 Florian joined Kilgray as a senior developer to contribute to the success of Kilgray Translation Technologies.

Hi helennyen, thanks for your interest in the upcoming memoQ virtual event. You do not need to have the software installed to attend any of the sessions or training. You will be watching along as the instructor/trainer demonstrates features and functions. All you need to participate is an internet connection, browser and to be logged in to ProZ.com and registered for the virtual event.
