Bio
I am a professional translator (verifier, proof reader, text developer, and voice-over artist) and creative writer. My native language is Oriya, which is one of the richest Indian languages in the eastern group.
I am translating popular children's magazine CHANDAMAMA in Oriya from English and Hindi.

I am presently residing in the cyber city of Orissa, i.e. Bhubaneswar. It is also known as TEMPLE CITY. I am working as Asst. Editor of a Health magazine" SWASTHYASHREE".

Basing on my educational background, practical experience and interest, I cover the broad umbrella of medical, health care, psychology, parenting, science and technology, literature, culture, women and children, education, management, media and social issues etc.

I practice simple and communicable writing and do translations from English and Hindi to Oriya.

Also take up BT (back translation) from Oriya to English.

I am associated with both Print and Audio Visual media with the capaciy of a writer and consultant.

I was the main translator handling a television programme (title: HELLO INDIA, Channel: 'ETV Oriya', the first private satellite TV channel in the language)in Oriya language, 365 days, for almost 3 years.

The programme was covering news and feature stories from all over the world and in almost all the subjects.I was translating the copies from English.

I am a professional diploma holder in Nursing (3 years Diploma) from a popular medical college in Orissa and having practical experince in medical nursing over 5 years in a leading corporate hospital. My work exposure includes ICU, ICCU and Neonatal ICU.

My education and practical experience has helped me in attending subjects relating to medical science and applied areas.

I am also a Post Graduate Diploma (3 years) holder in HR Management from 'National Institute of Personal Management' (NIPM), Kolkata, India. This helps me in attending areas relating to Management.

My articles are published in newspapers and magazines.

I am also participating in various programmes in Radio and television including my areas of core competence.

I started my creative career as a poetry and short story writer and later taken up translation as an area of specialisation.

I have participated in Poetry workshop, twice, organised by British Council and Poetry Society of India, New Delhi.

I was a literary champion throughout my career in school, college and university level.

I enjoy my profession as a creative writer, a professional translator and a family health consultant.
