Bio
Graduate engineer for electrical engineering and certified technical translator for electrical engineering/electronics translates technical texts from English into German
Before fully concentrating on technical translation, I worked as a design engineer with an electric machine manufacturer. Later I changed to the health care sector and worked as an operating engineer in a large health resort where I was responsible for a variety of technical facilities including HVAC and electric systems.
Equipped with this sound technical background and my linguistic qualification as a certified technical translator, I plunged into the translation industry at first on a part-time basis in 1983 before I started my own business in 1992.
Besides technical qualification and linguistic excellence, there's still one more thing that is part of my translation services: professionalism.
Looking back at a huge number of translation projects sometimes running to hundreds of pages I can claim that I never jeopardized a project through late delivery. Research and a proofreading step are, of course, also part of my translation process.
