Bio

I am a qualified Romanian Translator & Interpreter holding a Level 6 Certificate in Translation and Interpreting for English and French and an apprenticeship in Business & Administration. 

My experience consists in having translated documents in-house and as a freelancer, from various domains and participating in different projects, including subtitling. The types of documents I have translated are mainly legal, general texts, leaflets, letters of employment, letters from school, medical and business documents, and websites, etc.

Throughout my career I have assisted in different settings in the capacity of an interpreter. The bookings took place in hospitals, clinics, surgery rooms, solicitors offices, prison cells, contact centers, home visits. I have also assisted remotely liaising the communication between immigration advisers and refugees or homeless people as well as people in need of assistance to apply for the EU Settlement Scheme. Another area I cover in terms of translation and interpreting is mental health, having translated and interpreted for people with special needs, who receive support from different services with their mental health. 

I also regularly attend CPD webinars and I am keen to learn more.
